I visited Leeds Industrial Museum as a facilitator for Burmantofts Community Friends Men's Social group. All 8 of our members thoroughly enjoyed the visit and we can't wait to go back! Nick and Barry were incredibly informative, welcoming, and generous with their time - I could not recommend this trip enough to other community groups; A great day out!

Really interesting museum, especially if you're interested in social history as well as artefacts. Great location which is probably even better in summer, and friendly and well-informed staff. We'll be going again!

We love this venue. We usually attend on Steampunk weekends, but there is plenty to look at if you have an interest in industrial history, although I was fascinated with the camera/lens display. It's not expensive and will take up a good couple of hours, if not more.

I came here for the travelling steampunk market. Was surprised how many interesting things the museum had to look at. Some of the stairs felt like it would be quite easy to fall if you don't cling to the railings. Loved the cafe, the food was wonderful in that mafe with love and care kind of way. The chocolate cake is soft and delicious without being sickly or having too much filling and or icing!

Overall quite disappointed, challenging times for local authority owned educational sites. And it shows.

Shocking to see the conditions that children had to work in the wool mills. So a good exhibition as it makes you think. Dogs are not allowed in the museum, but there is access to a canal side walk.

An excellent museum, which tells the story of Leeds industry through the ages - cloth making, made-to-measure clothing, steam engines, printing, film making, and many more. The displays are well laid out, with helpful information panels (or just ask the friendly staff or volunteers). The museum is housed in an old mill, an impressive building in a picturesque setting alongside the Leeds- Liverpool Canal. Well worth a visit!

What a hidden gem. The Leeds Industrial Museum is worth a visit. Situated in an old woollen mill it has a water wheel spinning machines and also details of the people who's inventions have made leeds great. The local flood defences are nearly finished, then you will be able to see the steam engines as well. We could even get a coffee. Thanks to the staff who where very helpful.
